Terms and Conditions:

Welcome to Finders Keepers of Maine. By purchasing our products or engaging our picking and estate services, you agree to the following terms:

​

1. Nature of Goods Sold

  • Vintage & Antique Items: Most items are "pre-loved" and sold "AS-IS." We do our best to document any flaws, patina, or damage. No warranties are provided for the mechanical or structural longevity of vintage electronics, toys, or furniture.

  • 3D Printed Items: These are manufactured using FDM or Resin processes. Minor surface imperfections (layer lines, small artifacts) are a normal part of the process and are not considered defects.

    • Safety Note: 3D printed items are not toys unless specifically labeled as such. Keep away from high heat (e.g., hot cars) as materials like PLA may warp.

2. Picking & Estate Sale Services

​

  • Scope of Service: Our picking and estate services are based on "best effort" search and valuation. We do not guarantee the discovery of specific items.

  • Access & Safety: For picking services on private property, the client must ensure a safe environment. Finders Keepers of Maine is not liable for injuries sustained by third parties on-site during an estate sale or pick.

  • Valuation: Any valuations provided during picking or estate services are professional opinions and do not constitute a formal appraisal for insurance or tax purposes unless explicitly stated.
     

3. Payments & Pricing

  • All prices are in USD.

  • Maine Sales Tax: Purchases made within the state of Maine or shipped to a Maine address are subject to 5.5% sales tax (unless a valid resale certificate is provided).

  • Custom 3D Orders: A non-refundable deposit of [50%] may be required for custom 3D design or high-volume print jobs before production begins.
     

4. Shipping & Handling

  • Processing Time: Vintage items ship within [X] days. 3D printed items are often "print-to-order" and may require [X] days for production.

  • Packaging: We use recycled materials whenever possible to align with our "Finder" ethos, while ensuring items are secured for transit.

  • Lost/Damaged Goods: We are not responsible for carrier delays. If an item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos of the packaging and the item to initiate an insurance claim.
     

5. Returns & Refunds

​

  • Vintage Items: All sales are final unless the item was significantly misrepresented.

  • 3D Printed Items: Returns are accepted within 30 days for structural defects. Custom-designed prints are non-refundable.

  • Services: Fees for picking or estate labor are non-refundable once the service has been performed.
     

6. Limitation of Liability

 

Finders Keepers of Maine shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products—including, but not limited to, the failure of a 3D printed part or the historical instability of a vintage item.

7. Governing Law

 

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maine. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cumberland County.
